Dr. Lovelace enjoys meeting new people, solving complex problems and helping others improve their lives. He has a deep-rooted empathy for patients with dental fears and special needs. Dr. Lovelace enjoys getting to know his patients to develop a lifelong partnership.  Dr. Lovelace is committed to using the highest quality materials and technology to consistently overcome challenging situations. He is constantly attending advanced training to keep with the latest & greatest technologies in Periodontics & Implantology. 

Dr. James Lovelace is a local of Marysville, WA graduating in 2001 from Marysville-Pilchuck High School. In 2006, Dr. Lovelace has been providing patient care since 2006 as a Dental Hygienist in Stanwood and Tulalip WA. Dr. Lovelace graduated from the Yakima Valley Dental Hygiene program, spending most of his clinical hygiene practice with Tulalip Dental Clinic. Indian Health Services (IHS) was very supportive in providing opportunities for in school dental care exams, sealants programs and data collection. 

In 2021 James graduated from University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSOD) as one of eight RIDE (Regional Initiatives in Dental Education) students.  The mission of RIDE is to deliver care to rural & underserved populations. 

After graduating from UW Dental School in 2021, Dr. Lovelace began Graduate Periodontics training at University of Washington and graduated with his Master of Science in 2024.  

Dr. Lovelace has many interests outside of dentistry, although never enough time to enjoy them all. His biggest interests including photography, backpacking,  hiking and most of all cooking.
